§ 19-29. Definitions applicable to fire rescue impact fees.

  • In addition to the general definitions contained in section 19-2, the following words, terms, and phrases, when used in this article, shall have the meanings ascribed to them in this section, except where the context clearly indicates a different meaning:

    Alternative fire rescue impact fee means any alternative fee calculated by an applicant and approved by the county coordinator pursuant to section 19-33.

    Alternative fire rescue impact fee study means a study prepared by an applicant and submitted to the county coordinator pursuant to section 19-33.

    Capital equipment means equipment with a life expectation of three years or more.

    County fire rescue system means the buildings, land, apparatus, and capital equipment provided by the county that are used for suppression and prevention of fires or other disasters and the handling of incidents involving hazardous materials.

    Fire rescue impact construction means land development designed or intended to permit a use of the land which will contain more dwelling units, buildings or square footage than the existing use of the land, or to otherwise change the use of the land in a manner that increases the impact upon the county fire rescue system.

    Fire rescue impact fee means the fire rescue impact fee imposed by the county pursuant to section 19-32, as it may be amended from time to time.

    Fire rescue impact fee land use category means those categories of land use incorporated in the fire impact fee rate schedule in section 19-32.

    Fire rescue impact fee study means the study adopted by the county pursuant to section 19-31, as amended and supplemented pursuant to section 19-201.
