§ 12-4. Family law assistance program.

(a)

The family law assistance program is offered to the citizens of the county by the office of court administration and at no cost to the county.

(b)

The family law assistance program offers a valuable service to the citizens of the county by providing affordable informational family law packets for the citizens who represent themselves in a family law matter. The program also provides notarization of completed paperwork and necessary referrals.

(c)

The office of court administration shall charge sufficient amounts for the informational family law packets and for notarization services, as to cover the expenses of the family law assistance program.

(d)

The informational packet shall range from $5.00 to $20.00, depending on the type of legal packet required. These prices shall become effective immediately. These packet costs are necessary to alleviate the expense of the program.
