§ 16-22. Penalty; enforcement of article.

Violation of this article shall be punishable as provided in section 1-8. The county shall designate, by resolution, an enforcement officer to ensure compliance with this article. Such enforcement officer shall be referred to in this article as the fire and life safety inspector. It shall be the duty and responsibility of the fire and life safety inspector to enforce the provisions of the uniform and minimum codes and standards adopted in section 16-21.
